As a result of WAPDA’s process of corporatization and commercialization, its former electric area boards were transformed into companies and QESCO took over the business of WAPDA’s assets and liabilities. However, DISCOs are currently under the administrative control of the Ministry of Water and Power, Government of Pakistan.

Currently, Quetta Electric Supply Company QESCO Jobs 2022 is opening for Assistant Lineman. A total of 467 positions of Assistant Lineman are opening.
Candidates with any physical disability will not be considered for this recruitment of ALM. Women quota will not be observed. Only eligible individuals having described the below criteria are requested to apply.
- Qualifications: Matriculation Only (Minimum & Maximum)
- Age: 18 to 33 Years (including general age relaxation)
- Medical Category: A
- Height: 5 Feet 4 Inches
- Chest: 32 Inches
- Weight: As per the body mass index chart BMI
- Running: 800 Meters in 5 Minutes
- Pushups/Dundas: 20 in Single Attempt in 3 Minute
- Lifting of Weight: 30 KG in Single Attempt
- Digging: 1 Ditch of Lenth, Depth, and Widht (2 x 2 x 2) feet
- Climbing Skills: Tower/Ladder up to 10 Feet Wearing Safety Equipment
- Pulling of Wires: In one span of 100 feet
The recruitment will initially involve screening of Physical Parameters, hose fulfilling Physical Parameters will undergo Written/Skill Test, those who qualify Skill Test by securing a minimum of 50% marks will be called for Physical Test, and finally who qualify the Physical Test will be called for interview on the merit-based score of Skill & Physical Test.
