FBR Instructs Tax Officials to Refresh Their Information in the Human Resource Information System

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has instructed all tax officials to maintain accurate personal information within the Human Resource Information System (HRIS). The directive was issued to Directors General/Chief Commissioners Inland Revenue and Chief Collectors/Directors General/Collectors Customs on Friday.

The FBR noted that many field formations have neglected to update their HRIS data, despite multiple reminders from the Board. As a result, the Competent Authority has emphasized the importance of daily HRIS updates and has instructed all Heads of field formations to ensure compliance.

To facilitate this process, the available IT staff will receive training from the respective field formations to ensure that the sanctioned strength of each office is accurately reflected and updated promptly in the event of any transfer or change.

In addition, any changes to officer or staff profiles, such as transfers, retirements, deaths, dismissals, or penalties, must be recorded in the HRIS system on the same day. This will ensure that the working strength in each cadre is accurately reflected in the HRIS data on a daily basis.

The FBR emphasized that all updates should be made through the ADC/DC (Hqrs) concerned to maintain the accuracy and completeness of the HRIS information.
