USA youth Exchange and Study (YES) Program scholarships Introduction:
USA Youth Exchange and Study (YES) Program scholarships have offered Pakistani Matric and O-Level students to study at American High Schools. This program has been provided in 39 countries for secondary school students. Selected students would live with American host families for one year. US Government offers financial help and funds to Youth Exchange and Study Programs. Since 2003, this scholarship program has provided scholarships to 1,274 high school students across Pakistan. The Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study (YES) program afford high student costs, including airfare.
According to YES, High School students will be enrolled for one total academic in American schools in America and may participate in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. Because of that, they could develop a complete understanding of American culture and atmosphere by interacting with them.
Offers of YES program for students in America:
1- Free America Visa Fee
2-Free Residence and Meals (boarding and Lodging)
3-$125 per Month scholarship
Requirements of Program:
Pakistani citizens residing in Pakistan
Students of 9th or 10th grade or ‘O’ Levels’ students will be eligible to apply for this program.
Applicants between the ages of 15 – 17 would apply for this program.
Minimum 60% marks in English, Mathematics, and Science in the last examination. 60% marks for the past three years is compulsory for applicants. Students with a gap or a repeated year will disqualify from the YES program.
The students who can communicate in English and have at least 60% marks in English exams during the past three years may appear in the YES program.
Students must meet the following requirements in addition to the above criteria:
Applicants have to pass the Entry Test.
It is necessary that the applicant may know Pakistani culture and values and can represent the same in the US communities.
The applicants have to Demonstrate adaptability, flexibility, academic aptitude, maturity adaptability, good character, and behavior,
It is necessary for applicants must participate in the host family’s daily life also.
Applicants must record all necessary immunizations before arriving in the USA.
The Applicants can maintain at least a ‘B’ Grade average in USA high school and attend classes as full-time students, then may apply for YES.
Procedure for applying to YES Program in the USA:
Students who meet the criteria and the parent agree can apply for this scholarship Program. Interested candidates can download the Preliminary Applications from the portal www.yespk.org.
Applicants send the required documents through the courier SIE office. Students with physical disabilities, female students, and students from non-elite and government schools are strongly encouraged to apply.

Applicants who fulfill the selection criteria may apply to YES program till 10-11-2022.
