HITEC University Introduction:

HITEC University is a leading private university in Taxila Cantonment, Punjab, Pakistan. HITEC University was conceived as part of the Heavy Industries Taxila Education City (HITEC).

The campus already had a nursery, school, and college-level educational institutions. In 2007, BS, BBA, and BS Islamic Studies in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering were launched in collaboration with UET Taxila. The Punjab Government gave HITEC University its charter on November 17, 2009, and all the students were transferred to HITEC University.

HITEC University offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in engineering, computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, civil engineering, mathematics, Islamic studies, and business administration.

The inauguration ceremony was presided over by then-President General Pervez Musharraf. Five years later, the university opened a new department for computer science, and in 2019 it launched the Department of Civil Engineering.
